VCE

The majority of Victorian secondary school students undertake study in the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE). On satisfactory completion of their secondary education, the VCE provides students with the opportunity to achieve an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) for further study at university or TAFE.

Students undertaking VCE studies can also participate in Vocational Education and Training (VET). VET in the VCE program combines general VCE studies with vocational training and experience in the workplace. VCE VET programs lead to nationally recognised qualifications and therefore offer students the opportunity to gain both the VCE and a nationally recognised VET qualification.
