Y Challenge is a free program that supports teams of young people to make positive social change through the development of community projects. A group of young people must have an adult mentor in order to become a Y Challenge team.

Designed to reach high school students discovering their financial feet, Pocket Money is a 12-page tabloid lift-out all about money. From earning and spending to saving and investing, this is a must-read tool kit for young people making their first decisions about money, spending and their financial and consumer future.
A Teachers’ Guide accompanies the lift-out. It has appropriate classroom activities based on the main articles in the lift-out. All these activities are mapped to VELS.
A new resource (book and CD) which focuses on core skills (learning, reading, writing, oral communication and numeracy) development in agrifood. It supports project-based learning in either vocational education and training in schools or community contexts.

This workshop is delivered by a Foundation House counsellor. It builds on the understanding of the impact of trauma on learning and wellbeing to explore case studies and develop strategies for handling difficult situations and supporting the individual in the classroom.

This workshop showcases a range of activities from the Foundation House resources and programs (Klassroom Kaleidoscope, Healthwise, Taking Action and Rainbow) that help promote safety, dignity and identity for those who have refugee experiences. These activities also help build connections between new arrivals and the wider student body in the classroom.

Oxygen Factory is an organisation that provides personal development, leadership and values training for secondary students across Australia. They also produce a range of resources, including “Oxygen Uptake,” a weekly e-zine containing motivational messages for students and teachers, and “Oxygen for Educators,” a free mini-magazine containing topical articles on youth issues and information on upcoming Oxygen Factory motivational seminars for secondary school students, teachers and parents. They have also recently released the book Oxygen: 102 Doses of Inspiration, which contains short inspirational messages and activities that teachers can share with their students.
