OELLEN School to Work Summit 2023
The OELLEN School to Work Summit was a tremendous success! Keynote speaker Ange van den Berg shared valuable insights on how gender influences career choices. Local employers discussed preparing young people for the school-to-work transition, and Brooke Young from OELLEN highlighted current and future job demand. We explored the exciting potential of AR tech for education and training. Updates on OELLEN pilot programs were provided, and attendees engaged in valuable discussions on next steps.

The Apprenticeship & Traineeship Expo took place on October 20th with a crowd that exceeded our expectations (and registrations) significantly!
Tools Skills Day at St Josephs
The Tools Skills Day held at St Josephs College in October 25th provided an opportunity for Years 9 and 10 female and non-binary students to interactively sample non-traditional roles.
2022 Youth Career Expos
OELLEN hosted three Youth focused careers expos in 2022 with generous sponsorship from Maroondah City Council (March 3rd), Knox City Council (May 18th) and the Yarra Ranges Council (May4th).
Tool Skills Day, June 9, 2022
As a follow up to the state-wide Trades Fit Expo held in May, OELLEN, in partnership with EWIT, Maxme and BHI Skills & Jobs Centre, invited female students from our local schools to participate in a Tools Skills Day at the Lilydale Lakeside Campus on 9th June 2022.
